FABIEN ROCCA

FABIEN ROCCA

Born in 1973, Fabien Rocca is a mixed media contemporary artist from Corsica in the South of France. In 1992, Rocca studied at the Julian Academy Met De Penninghen, and thereafter received his PhD in June 1996, followed by a career as an Artistic Director for an advertising agency in Paris. In June 1997, deciding to give a more personal meaning to his work, he went to Germany searching for new inspiration.

Fabien Rocca is the only European artist incorporating gold and silver leaves to his work. He also creates his own stamps to realize his pieces. Having mastered different techniques, he expressed the desire to share his art in Florida with an aspiration to create a new visual medium, depicting human subjects, mixed in with bright colors and abstract lines. Passionate about nude sketches, his works naturally gravitates towards the female nude, filtering as his main inspiration and subject.

Around 2001, Rocca launched his art studio in Phuket, Thailand, where he began experimenting with silkscreen methods allowing him to combine both his photography and painting under one medium of support. In addition to his art, he is also the co-founder of MYFACE Company (launched in May 2007), a conceptual and digital art gallery specializing in digital mixed media. In 2010, Rocca signed a partnership with Warner Bros to celebrate the 75 years of DC Comics, and was in charge of the creation, promotion and development of the Super-Heroes Art Collections.

He is currently based in Miami, Florida.
