More than 70 guests came out to celebrate with us this April for an intimate sunset viewing of Euphoria, a site-specific floating art installation by contemporary artist Benedicte Blanc-Fontenille at the historic Vagabond Hotel. The exhibition was a presentation of miniature paintings floating in water that mimicked the movements and forms of waterlilies exploring the rudiments of fragility, balance, meditation, movement and rebirth. The display also included sculpture and plated photograph works of Blanc-Fontenille’s recent cents.
“Like waterlilies move at the surface of the water, the works playfully follow the movement of the currents, imperfectly fragile yet balanced. They go underwater and another life begins for them: they fly like stingrays, lay down, rest for a while and go back dancing.” — Benedicte Blanc-fontenille
Stay tuned for the Gallery’s next art installation popping up this May at one of the newest hotels in Miami.
