Thomas Waroquier
Born in 1996, Thomas Waroquier lives and works in Paris. He obtained his diploma in metal sculpture with the congratulations of the jury in 2017 at the National School of Applied Arts and Crafts where he learned the artisanal technique of brassware, the shaping of metals in leaves, applied to sculpture.
During the following years he assisted several great French and international artists such as Mylinh Nguyen (Bettencourt Prize for intelligence of the hand) or Al Farrow (permanent exhibition at the De Young Museum in San Francisco).
It is through press cartoons that this artist discovers artistic creation. Member of the satirical Tunisian online newspaper Yakayaka for 2 years, and volunteer since 2014 for Cartooning For Peace created by Plantu and Kofi Annan, he is imbued with the critical spirit and commitment that characterizes the press cartoon.
