Gonçalo Ivo
Born 1958. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
He alternatingly lives and works from Paris, Madrid, New York, and his studio at São João Farm in Teresópolis mountain area, Rio de Janeiro State. In 2019, Gonçalo Ivo was invited by the American contemporary art institution Residency Unlimited to spend some time in New York City. In 2020, Albers Foundation – Josef and Anni Albers, Bethany, Connecticut, USA – also invited him for art residency, where he worked at the Clark Studio for several months.
